Ricardo,

I am amazed you remember after all these years & so many prangs. Are you sure we talking about the same prang? You were definitely on port, and I think you will find, if you read norwegian, that the previous poster, Anders, was there too & he is supporting my recollection. Allow me to translate; "Rick was definitely on port & in the wrong, I saw the whole thing & it has worried me for years. I have been scared to return to Australia in case I too suffer such injustice."

Bruce,
I think you will find we were both on starboard and you were windward boat... "windward boat keeps clear"
If we all knew our rules then there would be no grumpy people.

Hey RICARDO,

I could remind you of the St George regatta in about 1984 when you (on Port) slammed into me (on starboard) despite several loud cries of "starboard" and then abused the crap out of me for having the temerity to be on the same piece of water but obviously it is all forgotten & forgiven.

Merry Xmas you grumpy old bugger.

So glad we all had formula gear on Friday (and Saturday would've been a perfect fw day also).

Up here in QLD we do slalom only events every 3 weeks. Unbelievable how many times everyone sits on the beach with no wind, as nobody up here has sails bigger than 8m.

Just goes to show we got lucky just to be able to run 10 races on Saturday. So hard to get perfect slalom conditions on a designated day.

Congrats Sam! Although shouldn't you be winning on the 'latest' JP boards to sell a few more? lol.

If you dont follow the rules someone will get hurt just ask Nathan Bowness, if you remember Bruce you did the exact same thing last year and but a 40cm long dent in the bottom of my board,
You can only do so much calling out three times not to do it before they do it, BUT they still do it.
Unfortunately protesting is the only way they will stop.
Or to save time we could just shoot them.

I would like to say:
1. Thanks Brett, you did a great job in trying conditions, no help at all from the wind god.
2. Something very rude to all those so & so's who sailed past me like I was standing still (even when I was going).
3. It was great to have heats & downwind rather than all in figure 8. Weakness of that heat system was exposed when Ricardo chucked a protest & couldn't really run final till protest resolved as did not know which final to put him in. Answer may have been to make him sail both finals & sort it out later in which case the system might work nicely & Ricardo would get his punishment for protesting. Any answer that involves punishing Ricardo can't be all bad.
4. Can someone suggest a better name than Loser's final?
