2010 Oceanic & Australian FW Championships
Storm-Riders is organising the 2010 Oceanic & Australian FW Championships at Hawks Nest’s this coming February.
Hawks Nest’s charming and picturesque Jimmy’s Beach is the location for the event being run from 3-6th February 2010. Nestled between the coastal forests and pristine beaches of the Myall Lakes National Park, featuring spectacular views across the Port Stephens waterways and the Myall River. This is one of Australia’s best kept secrets.
Hawks Nest is a hive of family and sporting enthusiast activity with everything from snorkelling, swimming, surfing, fishing, golf, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
In 2010, the Oceanic and Australian Formula Windsurfing (FW) Championships will be the first Championships of the season for the FW Class. It’s the event of the year in Australia, for which all competitors and some candidates to the title of World Champion, eagerly await. The Regatta is also a Level 1.5 World Ranking Event for FW.
The entry list shows the best of the best in FW will compete at these championships, as well as the top-ranked Australians. This includes current World Champion Steve Allen [AUS-0] and defending three-time Australian Champion Sean O’Brien [AUS-120], who are both originally from Brisbane and will enjoy the battling against the top NSW sailors as well as the rest of the country and internationals.
WindsurfingNSW and Storm-Riders Windsurfing Club invite you to the premier windsurfing event of the summer, right on the doorstep of Australia. This is your invitation to discover a whole new world of sporting regattas…

I paid my money – can you please forward me the dimensions of the FE+ trophy so I can make room on the mantle?
Yes – Thems fighting words.
One training session with Sean, a draw in the rugby….. mate dont bother with the FE title, what about the open.
The Aussies were lucky to get away with a draw in the rugby. One training sesson with Sean and I got my best results all season – until I smashed my boom. I am telling you Ben – I am gunning for you. Be afraid, be very afraid ;-)
I am worried…. I think I heard Tristian say he may race FE at the Nationals…as for the mantlepiece mines already full ….of dust and nothing else
Hmmmm, sounds like a free set of harness lines isn’t going to be enough; will have to invest in a trophy!
