After the success of last season, FE+ is back. Click on the poster for the concept in a box…. All NSW Windsurfing Series events will include FE+ with result for the season included. GET INVOLVED!!!!
Just to let you all know that the Greek FW association has adopted the FE+ category for this season. We had a six page feature on our Australian windsurfing experience published in our national surf snow and ski magazine, which highlighted the events we attended.
It’s been a great success. With many new comers as well as sailors returning to the sport after a long time off.
Oh, yours truly is currently leading the seasons rankings in FE+ with only two events still to race.
Guess if i win the overall title i’ll start racing with all you fast guys in the regular fleet.
Will hopefully see you all for the first race of the Aussie season in Hawks Nest.
That is great…. I’m stoked that such a simple concept (FE+) is being adopted… We will be be expecting you to win the FE+ in Aussie this year now…Lots of pressure…
Guys i really can’t race in FE+ next season in oz. Wouldn’t feel right.
Brett, the whole FE+ concept has gone down a treat in Greece. We have had loads of interest with racers aged between 16 and 66 years old taking part. We have become very aware however that everyone races FE+ for a different reason. Some are too old or have injuries that limit them ever taking part in 2 laps. Others, use FE+ as a spring board or learning curve to enter the open category. I, in all honesty, only ever took part in FE+ to give me a chance to learn and get up to speed with the main fleet.
In the last few events here in Greece, i’ve had some top ten finishes over 2 laps with the main fleet.
Therefore my own bar has been raised. FE+ is a great platform for all sorts of sailors at all sorts of levels. My next aim is to move onwards and upwards, and hopefully kick ass in the big boys category. ha ha ha. Might take a few years, but i’m nothing if not determined. Oh,,,,, am thinking of popping over to portugal to support Sean and Chris at the worlds. Anyone else wanna come?

Thats great Jason, except you might get into trouble from Brett for copying his brainchild ;-)
I suspect that a podium finish in Greece will result in your promotion to the big leagues here too. We will miss you in FE+ – no, really we will :-)
