Heat 3 @ Botany Bay

Heat 3 at the new location of Ramsgate Beach, Botany Bay was a success with 7 races being held over the 2 days. Sam Parker took line honours for the event with Mike Nelson making a big comeback to take a race bullet and finish 3rd overall. Checkout the results below in PDF format.

What a great weekend it was too. New location was fantastic. From my own perspective I had a really great day on Saturday, managed to stay out of everybodys way, had a lot of fun around the course. I did have to swear at B Fawkes in one race when he kept planing and I dropped agonisingly off about 200m from the top mark. And I was looking great for a midfleet rounding too (first ever). By the time I got my act together again I had assumed my usual spot.
I really dont know how people do it, but I found that it is really difficult to live without fingerprints. I think I smoothed mine off with my deathgrip on the boom on Sat. Trying to pick up the shampoo in the shower was interesting.
I am already looking forward to the next event at Huski again. Aim is to finish all races this time. Thanks to Brett, the Starters, the boat towing teams (Sam1, Sam2, Chris, Muzza).
Booby prize goes to Rockdale Council for providing the grottiest toilets in Sydney. I think they must have made a special effort on our behalf. Phone call next on to do list.
Anyone who didnt make it, you REALLY missed out this time.

Great racing… I’m loving this season so far… Getting tougher every event… Great to see more new faces in the FE+ fleet also….
Mikey is back!!!
Uncle Mike is back, as is Woodrow, Ting + loads of new names in the minor places…. A couple of FE+ guys started and finished their 1st ever races also…

Small mistake in the results. N.Hohnberg was 2nd in race 2, not N.Bowness. This make Hohnberg 7th on a count-back from Remi… amended results will be up tonight…

shame about the half nelson by Ricardo, you were going well till he took you out on port. Was he at the Derelict Port Tackers seminar on Sat morning?
I witnessed the Ant/Rick Port/Starboard incident.
Very interesting watching 2 Formula boards slog into each other, both trying to do the right thing at 1.5knots closure, but not quite getting it right….”Splat”

beaten by Barry Fawkes, you will never hear the end of this. Barry’s old severne sail never went so well when I had it. Perhaps its the sailworks mast.
And when is Wayne B’s drug test. I want to know what he’s on (& where u get it).
