If the Reds struggle to score tries, then what do the Tahs do?
There were a lot of photos taken on the weekend, but nobody has submitted them for the web site... please send any photos to seanobrien@aus120.com
thanks

Sunshine Beach IS Noosa isn't it? That's just the other side of the hill to Little Cove. I live 2 hours south so I should probably shut my trap.

anyhow ... its a really nice part of the world and you'll have a great time, waves or not.

And for the record, the only thing us QLD's exaggerate is the ability of the Reds to score tries and the taste of XXXX beer.

Please Sean,

Aus3 told me that the waves in Noosa are grossly over-exaggerated. Just as Qld'ers are prone to ever-exaggerating many things.

Seriously though, last time I was at Noosa the waves at Little Cove were quite small, while the waves at Sunshine Beach were well beyond my capability. We have rented a house on the river so at worst I will get in some flatwater paddling.
It is indeed a tough life, but someone has to keep the economy going.

John, did you say "small waves" and "Noosa" in the same sentence earlier? Think you might be day-dreaming...

Noosa is BIG SURF country (That's how us QLD'ers roll..)

Tristan,
It was great to see that you did so well this season, and I am sure that with more practice you will get along quite well in the open fleet.
Sean - I think you are underselling yourself, it will not be easy, but I think you will be well able to up your game enough next season.

It was interesting how Bruce schooled the FE+ at the Nationals, kind of sad really to have the gap made so obvious. On the bright side at least Mick, Sean, Tristan and Barry were able to get withing shouting distance at times and that bodes well for the rest of us. In fact getting a handle on exactly how much work I had to do was certainly a catalyst for a change in my attitude later in the season.

Perhaps before the start of next season we should arrange a day for the FE+ fleet and get a good Open sailor to take the green boat and do a bit of on the water coaching for us. We can repay the Open sailor with some bad attitude and generally getting in their way on the course. The quaue will be miles long.

I'm still undecided about the open fleet. I spent a total of 5 days outside the series on my formula board. If i get my act together grabbing the slalom board every time i see white caps I might be a contender for it. Adam & David & I are all keen for the Marmong Racing so i should see you there at some stage.

A big thanks to the guys running the series, it is a great thing to be a part of.
Thanks to Sam for the harness lines (the exact same one's i was going to buy this week)

The next season seems so far away...

Cheers
