Venue Change – Heat 6 !!

There has been a venue change for the final Heat 6 of the NSW Windsurfing Series, to Valentines/The Slips at Lake Macquarie; sorry about the short notice. The intention as always will be to have Saturday the final day of racing for the 2010-11 series with the Presentation on Saturday night and Sunday a spare day for some sailing fun or relaxation (ie, no points for the series to count on Sunday). More information about the venue for the Presentation will be posted shortly.

Hello all,

Kicking off the event on the 13th Nov up at Valentine, Lake Macquarie then 14th Nov at Kyeemah, Botany Bay. The second weekend will be the 4th and 5th December at Kyeemah, Botany Bay. Opening at 9am until 5pm.

Lessons will be starting at 10am/12.30pm/3pm for two hours. After some theory you will be on the water! Practicing your secure position, sailing position and tacking around. Our coaches will give you pointers to help you progress and have fun!

Please keep watching the Seabreeze forum for the latest updates or our WSS facebook event section. Pre-booking the lessons will help us organise them and you not to miss out! So just give us a call or post here with the Names / Phone number / Age of all your party members.

It will be a GREAT day on the water with a lunchtime social BBQ so bring the family and your friends!

Sunday racing on Botany Bay.

Weather permitting (and it is looking good) we will be trying to have some fun racing down at Ramsgate Beach on Botany Bay on Sunday.
Imagine will will have some sort of course racing if light and some sort of Slalom if windy….
Anyone is welcome to rock up. Very casual.

Racing Practice – this weekend

Date: Saturday, 24th Jan

Sunday, 24th Jan – Course racing practice - Ramsgate Beach, Botany Bay
Time: Aprox: 12pm start (depending on wind etc.)
Cost: $10 donation: Basically to thank the guy who will set a course and do starts.

Any and Every racing class is welcome to attend.
Racing will be very casual, with short courses and lots of starting practice.

Techno 293 OD Racing

Heat 4 of the NSW Windsurfing Series hosted by Storm-Riders Windsurfing Club on 28-29th November 2009, will host the second event of the BIC Techno 293 OD Race Series for the summer.

Have-a-go sessions for junior sailors new to windsurfing and the Techno 293 OD (windsurfing equipment provided)
Intermediate level short course racing
Youth racingon the Techno 293 OD as a division of the senior racing

Need Sail Numbers?

Sail numbers are your identity on the water. Have some pride in your kit (and the promotion of our sport) and get some decent sail numbers printed at a reasonable cost! If anyone would like new sail numbers printed get in contact with Chris Ting at chris[at]vmgblades.com asap!

Numbers are approximately $35 per set (price could vary depending on fonts/size etc).

RIP Graeme Morris
